wonderful things blog tour + Essential oil bag

Welcome! Today is my day to take part in the Wonderful Things Blog Tour.  I have loved seeing the variety of beautiful creations from each participant. Yesterday’s quilt blocks by Ange from A Little Patchwork were amazing. You can also check out the full line up here on Bonnie’s blog.  Bonnie Christine is the designer of the Wonderful Things fabric collection for Art Gallery. Each print is wonderful and the quality of the fabric is so lovely to work with. I had a really hard time narrowing down what prints to choose for my projects.

I ended up choosing four different fat quarters from the collection. With the first, Flower Glory Evening, I made the Bonnie Bucket Bag by Swoon Patterns. I thought the name was very appropriate! I had been hearing about cork fabric for some time now and thought it would contrast nicely with this print so I decided to give it a try. The way it turned out was so beautiful! I loved it!

I used the next set of fat quarters on the newest bag pattern design that I’ve been working on. I designed the bag to hold both essential oils and your diffuser. Check out our other patterns that we sell in our shop.

On the exterior, I used Aquarelle Study Wash and Splendid Oath Rain. I love the beautiful, soft colors of these prints. And did I mention the fabric quality is amazing?!

I added essential oil rolls that can also be used when a diffuser is not stored in the bag. This allows more oils to be carried safely without rolling around the bottom of the bag. I used Blooming Brook Moon to sew these in.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what Faith Essenburg makes tomorrow! It has been such an honor to participate in the Wonderful Things Tour with such an amazingly talented group of women. If you’re on Instagram as well we’d love to connect with you there!
